KYC
KYC, or "Know Your Customer" is a term related to government requirements for financial institutions to know exactly who their clients are. It usually involves extensive proof of customer identity. KYC is intended to prevent money laundering and became far more critical after the attacks on September 11, 2001. Find IRS approved KYC rules here
